BAC 2007 : Denial of French exam leaks

Rumors have been circulated in many Wilayas about French language exam leaks. The secretary general of competitive examinations Mr. Merazi told El Khabar that the baccalaureate exam has been run in ordinary conditions without any abuses.

Mr. Merazi further said that French language examination is to be in two sessions, the first one for those students who choose French as a first foreign language which exam has been taking place yesterday afternoon and the other one for those who choose French as a second language and they’ve been setting for it last Saturday.

However, a « baron » originated from El Oued wilaya has attempted to corrupt the head of an examination centre in El Tarf wilaya in favor of his daughter for 200 million cents, i.e. 20 million for each module.
The head of the centre confirmed the corruption attempt and pointed out « my dignity prevails over whatsoever bargain ».

On another side, many teachers in Annaba expressed their indignation because of offences that underpinned the running of the examination in many centers that underwent dangerous offences where a teacher has been hit by a student when he discovered he was cheating.

Teachers have attached the attention to the phenomenon using mobile phone photographs but say that officials have not attached much importance to that.
