The explosion caused an injury to two security agents who were transported immediately to hospitals of Boumerdes and Mustapha Basha in the capital to receive the necessary first aid. In parallel with this, a second bomb was dismantled in the same place. The explosion coincided with the rush hour, when people are going to and from the train station, and when everybody is going towards educational institutions or work place, especially those who used to take the suburb train between Algiers and Thenia in Boumerdes. During this atmosphere the explosion surprised people who were panicked and confused without knowing what is going on. Security sources declared that the two agents were hit by the explosion, but their injuries are not dangerous. The same sources added that the two agents were near the bomb when it exploded, the thing that suggests that terrorists who put the bombs were targeting the security check point that was monitoring the traffic. Immediately after the explosion, security forces encircled the place and started its search, where they discovered a second bomb that has been dismantled. Security forces searched the train and coach stations in case other bombs are laying there. Despite the return to normality, it was obvious that scary feeling kept chasing people through rumours and everybody started trying to guess who was behind the bombs. On the spot, according to security sources that talked to El Khabar, we were informed that the two bombs were put during the night before, where the terrorists took the opportunity of the check point being left, and the decrease of the traffic, and than make them explode the next morning, using mobile phone. Security sources believed that the explosion is the act of Zemmouri gang, which is affiliated to the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC), which is still terrorising the region. The gang is made up of 25 terrorists, and it was behind other terrorist attacks in Zemmouri and Tedjallabine, and it made fake check points even on the national road 5 near Tedjallabine and Beni Amran.
