Orascom announced that it will take in charge the operation fees so as to guarantee its gratuitous nature. During the press conference held in Hilton Hotel, Orascom Telecom Algérie general manager Mr. Hassan Qabani pointed out that the convention is likely to press ahead the operation and spread it nationwide to supplant cash payment and revealed the interest drawn by other operators. This method of payment consists in allowing telephony subscribers to pay directly their phone bills by subtracting the sum from the subscriber’s monthly wage after being notified. The same official made clear that the subscriber has the right to ask for the details of the operation due to be settled in less than 3 days. In this regard, Agriculture and Rural Development Bank BADR plays the coordinator’s role between banks adopting such method of payment. This operation is the second of the kind after that concluded between Algérie Telecom and Algeria National Bank allowing customers paying their bills automatically. | ||||||||||||||||||
