A hellish weather is currently reining in different regions of Algeria, which is qualified “exceptionally high” by the Met Office as temperatures varied between 42 and 48 degrees.

Weather forecast says an improvement is expected by next Monday as warm air mass would constantly withdraw.

Met Office communication official told El Khabar that the sudden weather change is due to an air uprising concentrated between southern Italy and Libya sending thus a hot front accompanied by intense winds as well as sand storms, added Mr. Abdelsalam Chekrani.

On another side, the whole municipalities of Tebessa witnessed a significant temperature increase exceeding 45 degrees during the last few days, mostly after the starting of a fire in Bougafess Mountains 48 hours ago.

Firemen are currently trying to surround the fire which caused difficulties in breathing for some asthma patient; kids and elderly people who were transferred to the different health sectors along Tebessa regions.
