Cheb Mami appears before the judge in Algeria

Well informed judicial sources told El Khabar that Cheb Mami has been summoned by the examining magistrate to appear before the Court of Blida during the weekend in the frame of the investigation launched by General Prosecutor of the same Court.

Same sources added that Mami, who is under an international warrant of arrest, has been heard as guilty of forcing his girlfriend to abort.

A judicial source revealed that Mami should have been summoned directly after publishing his statements to the Algerian press in which he confirmed doing the abortion.

Our source added that the priority to deal with this case stands for the Algerian court rather than the French one, since “the crime” has been done on the Algerian territory, knowing that French court considers Mami as a runaway from justice.
