Libyan workforce, training and employment ministry announced yesterday in a communiqué addressed to different security services and embassies nationwide that “all legal procedures in force in this regard are to be applied on every foreigner who has not yet settled his situation according to the provisions of this decision, by virtue of the employment law as well as the law ruling the entry of foreigners to Libya, in addition to the pertinent executive resolutions”. The ministry has banned the employment of any foreigner manpower in any profession, unless a contract is set up by virtue of the Libyan employment law provisions”, El Khabar sources reported. According to the same sources, “all foreign workers in Libya are to be submitted to a medical consultation to make sure they are not affected by a contagious illness”. In this respect, parties willing to recruit foreign manpower in positions allowed to be occupied by non-Libyans are to submit their requests to the official authorities in order to get authorized”. On another side, Algerian official security services mentioned that “Algerian illegal residents in Libya number reaches 10 thousand”, while the Libyan authorities underscore that their number does not exceed 8 thousands. | ||||||||||||||||||
