Their fans invaded streets of Algiers with flags and fireworks

Algeria football Cup has chosen Mouloudia of Algiers for the second consecutive year after a 1-0 win over its ultimate rival USM Algiers Thursday on 5th July stadium in Algiers and before more than 80 thousand fans of both squads presents on the stands.

Mouloudia has confirmed through this title that they are United of Algiers’ bête noire in Cup competition, as they succeeded to clinch their 4th title against USMA.

All the Unionists were quite sure to clinch the cup title of this season and get a good revenge for last year defeat, regarding the good performance their squad showed against JS Kabylia in the semi final. However, the wind has not blown as they expected for the captain of Mouloudia Foudil Belhadj reached to shake USMA goalkeeper’s net in 72nd minute with a cannonball from 25 meters. Observers noted that the draw level was average and didn’t reflect both squads’ reputation.

As soon as the referee announced the end of the match thousands of Mouloudia fans have invaded the streets of Algiers drawing a green and red painting with their flags and fireworks, while there were no sign of United of Algiers fans.
