The general director of national safety Colonel Ali Tounsi stated that police statute is ready while waiting “for public authority’s approval”, noting that the new law is likely to reinforce “the policeman commitment to serve the citizen and the nation during the round hour”.

On the fringes of the graduation of 264 security agents in the 8th regional unit in El Kouba -east of Algiers-, Colonel Ali Tounsi added that the new statute obliges the policeman to be ready to serve “anywhere on the national territory”.

Such strictness imposed on this sensitive sector falls within a series of reforms initiated recently by the General Direction of National Safety DGSN.

On another side, Algiers safety director unveiled a new project meant to enlarge surveillance system by setting 300 cameras in the capital Algiers so as to help security agents control and combat small crimes such as theft and aggressions.
