He denounced the fact to restrict pressure practices to judges and claimed concrete evidence, while a lawyer raised the issue of the conflicting situation between the defense board and judges, calling to set a common code of conduct. In a conference held yesterday in el Moudjahid club, Mr. Djamel Aïdouni underscored that justice sector is fairer than any other sector when it comes to corruption charges, without denying some restricted practices in this regard. He noted that justice is a part and parcel of the society and cannot turn a deaf ear to its sufferings, and that “corruption indictments are a dangerous slander and require concrete evidence”. In this respect, he stated “as far as I know, there is only one imprisonment case within judges for corruption charges”, adding that “Khalifa case has been opened anew at the Supreme Court by the examining magistrate”, refusing to provide further details. He also belittled pressure on judges’ extent and denied the fact that it may influence their professional and moral commitment. He denied that 200 dossiers are being decided on daily in justice courts, and said that the hugeness of the number is owed to the fact that judges’ number is fewer compared to the inhabitants’ one.
