World Bank annual report on governance management index focused, while dealing with Algeria from 1996 to 2006, on corruption detriments and the incapability to control it, which stands to be as a negative aspect in Algeria economy

along the last decade, conversely, governance efficiency index recorded a decrease in terms of implementing reform p programs.

2007 Governance management report, released Saturday in Washington DC (USA), relied on 30 references and 30 regional and international specialized institutes. The report was based on 6 basic indexes including corruption control, laws’ authority and rule which ensure contracts and conventions’ implementation and respect, the role of justice in terms of conflicts compromising and its judgments independence, as well as private sector support, promotion and development of control and private sector upgrading.

Governance efficiency, however, includes its credibility in terms of implementing its policies and the quality of the services it offers. The report has underscored a positive evaluation in politics indexes which is owed to stability.

The worst point the report about Algeria is basically linked to corruption control with 40%. There have been 24 specialized international institutes that evaluated Algeria in that point.
