In this connection, customs disciplinary commission considers 200 disciplinary dossiers yearly. 20 custom officers are either dismissed or demoted by one grade, 40 subject to disciplinary transformation, most of them prosecuted for corrupt conduct and forgery and use of forged documents, according to the central director of human resources in customs general department. As for the levelling of customs sector, a statute is being elaborated in order to increase the wages by 20%. As for promotions, they are to go through exams. The statute provides for a high educational level as 48% of custom officers do not hold the baccalaureate.
