These statements has come to challenge recent speculations saying Industry Investments Minister Mr Hamid Temmar decided to give up the privatisation of Al Aurassi Hotel which is classified among historical monuments list together with Al Djazaïr Hotel; known also as St. George Hotel. Meanwhile, Tourism and Commerce Union head told El Khabar that Industry and Investments Ministry still has not kept the Union posted with state owned hotels’ privatisation process as the Ministry has not associated it in the privatization scheme set for tourism sector. Mr. Rabah Brahmia further said: “If the privatisation of hotels fell within the interests of workers, we would support it; otherwise we would reject it.” To recall, Rotana International Hotel Company has already led negotiations with the government as to get into Al-Aurassi Hotel privatization process. In this context Rotana officials discussed the possibility to mange AL-Aurassi Hotel in partnership with some Algerian State officials on the top of them the Republic President Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika. | ||||||||||||||||||
