Micheline Calmy-Ray presided in Algeria a conference of Suisse ambassadors in south and east of the Mediterranean countries. No information was leaked from the meeting. The visit of the vice president of the Swiss confederation, the president of the foreign affairs department, was terminated by the signature of three agreements. Sources from the presidency of the republic declared to El Khabar that these agreements are related to physical and symbolic persons’ movement between the two countries, juridical cooperation, and other agreements that concern the annulations of the duplicity of duties. The discussion covered human rights related matters and what can Algeria do in this direction inside international institutions that is a member in. According to the same sources, the Suisse responsible had a discussion with the president of the republic about these agreements, and was present alongside with him the minister of the state, the foreign minister Mohammed Bedjaoui, who exposed Algeria views concerning the agreement of persons movement and to what extent the process of the annulations of the duplicity of the duties was accomplished, which was aimed at the finishing of the agreement that was signed by Bouteflika in Bern, in November 2004 that stipulates the protection of investment and its encouragement. The Swiss news agency reported the presidency of the vice president of the confederation, in Algiers, a conference of Suisse ambassadors in the region.
