According to the company’s executives, the complex is one of the major ones being constructed by the group, while up to $55 billions will be invested for the production of 280 millions units of medicines .The complex has been inspected by the Minister of Health, Mr. Amar Tou, it is stretching on 8000square meters, and likely of producing about 290 millions units per year, representing 65% of the medicines market in Algeria. The company has shown interest in exporting a part of its production toward several countries later, said the CEO Isam Farook. 150 people are employed by the complex, this number will double the complex will be operational, while 16 kinds of medicines will be produces during the first stage, to achieve 66 by 2009. The main kind of medicines produced is pomades, antibiotics, and injections, all generic drugs. By the end of the ongoing year, other kinds are scheduled to be produced, notably cancer drugs by 2009, and serums by 2010. | ||||||||||||||||||
