Such concerns are related to bureaucratic legal measures and arbitration in the settling of commercial disputes, as well as the implementation of sentences issued by Courts and the arbitration institutions. Intervening at an international meeting about international commercial arbitration in the Algerian civil code, sponsored by the Minister of Justice, French expert, Mr. Philippe Leboulanger, said Algeria is one of countries making efforts to attract foreign investments. He added in order to reach this objective, laws and legal guarantying the protection of investors and their assets should be determined through the stepping up of adequate mechanisms able of settling commercial conflicts. In turn, the Minister of Justice, Mr. Taib Belaiz, has reassured foreign companies engaged in investment projects in Algeria, saying the legal protection of these companies’ capitals will be guaranteed. According to the Minister, the new commercial law will enter into force as by next April, and it is expected to meet expectations of the foreign companies operating in Algeria, while offering new methods in terms of settling commercial conflicts. | ||||||||||||||||||
