Cell phones, odd-clothes and make-up banned in middle and secondary schools

An instruction issued recently by the Ministry of Education, addressed to the directions of education nationwide, has banned the middle and secondary schools’ female pupils’ to use make-up inside their schools.

The same instruction has also banned wearing inappropriate clothes at schools, while any pupil not conforming to the instruction, his parents would be sezed. The instruction n.786, issued in current Dec.13th, orders Directors of education nationwide implementing the clauses mentioned by the law on education orientation, which has been recently debated by the different partners of the sector.

Meanwhile, the aforementioned instruction urged the directors of middle and secondary schools to ban female pupils of using make up, as any pupil carrying carrying cosmetic products at schools, are prevented from access. However, this instruction has not banned the wearing of inappropriate clothes for both sexes. The Ministry is about to release an order obliging both sexes wearing schools uniforms.

Cell phone use through the schools has been banned by the education orientation law, while some inspectors have authorized it in schoolyards, but not at classrooms.
