The project of the direct aerial line between Algeria and Canada still exists, and is not abandoned because it is one of many demands expressed by Canadian companies and the Algerian community that is living in Canada. The ambassador made it clear that its materialisation depends on the signature of aerial agreement between the two countries. The process, usually takes time, but efforts are being put to shorten this period, than the aerial navigation companies will be assigned to define dates and mechanisms for trips. The Canadian responsible unveiled new measures to facilitate visas for businessmen, and talked about the improvement of the circumstances of visas delivery for Algerians. The Canadian ambassador made it clear, in a presser in the embassy offices, that the Algerian community in Algeria is more than 50 thousand, and it is in continual growing. Many of them expressed interest to reinforce their relation with their home country through productive investment projects, pointing out that similar interest was expressed by the Canadian companies that had no information about the Algerian market. In the same context, Peck unveiled facilitating measures concerning visas delivery, especially in the context of missions and delegations for businessmen and professionals. The facilitation will be through the enlargement of visas services in Algeria, and the opening of a second counter. The same official declared that 2600 short-stay visas were delivered, plus the delivery of 2500 immigration visas last year.
