According to the prisoners’ families’ spokesman, the 17 prisoners are involved in different cases, as like illegal residence in Libya, as well as other charges for which they have been sentenced to less than 10 years. This second bunch is expected to be released tomorrow, while the first one composed of 27 prisoners, had been freed last October. The charges, for which both groups have been sentenced, have nothing to do with those stuck to 60 prisoners. Noteworthy, such an issue has raised a controversy between Algerian and Libyan authorities. In this connection, the families of the aforementioned 60 prisoners have called on the implementing of the release order issued by the Libyan President Mr. Muamar El Guedafi, last September. Unfortunately, the order has not been executed, yet. | ||||||||||||||||||
