The oldest woman in Algeria, living at Aouinet municipality, in Tebessa easternmost province, met her fate yesterday.




She was 127, and not suffering of any chronicle diseases spread nowadays in Algeria, as her alimentary regime was healthy.

So, the oldest woman named Tebib Hadda Bent Tayeb was born in 1882. Her name is written in Guiness Records book. She was married when she was 40, following the death of her parents; her father was an herbalist. She was a mother of 7 children; the youngest of them is a man, 61, while the oldest is woman 84.

Hada Bent Tayeb was a fan of local lyrics of a singer named Aissa El Djarmouni, famous in these eastern regions, while her food is based on milk, traditional bread, broiled meat not containing grease, and small quantities of coffee and tea.
