Bouteflika’s visit to Ghardaia disturbed by potential protest of flood’s afflicted

Presidential services have required security services in Ghardaia province to confirm or infirm recent reports saying that Berian disaster afflicted are likely to protest during the visit of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika to Ghardia, tomorrow.

Security services are obsessed by securing the visit of President Bouteflika while tending making sure preventing any unwelcome surprises. Such fears have been displayed with the arrival of additional backups of law and order forces to Ghardaia down-town, Berian and Metlili.

A responsible source told El Khabar that services in charge of organizing Bouteflika’s visit in Ghardaia have been ordered to cancel Berian municipality from the visit programme, for potential risks of the outbreak of protest movements during the visit of President Bouteflika.

Presidential officials have required security services there to conduct a quick and comprehensive investigation about whether afflicted dwellers intend to protest. However, a well informed source disclosed that authorities have mobilized 4 thousands policemen and gendarmes to protect the visit of the President, including some elements at the Special Intervention Squad, specialized in counterterrorism operations; freeing hostages and dismantling explosives.
