Algiers Port:
Saturday Dec 27 2008.
As many as 150 passengers heading to Marseille, on board of a Trek Ibn Ziad Ship have protested against the decision taken by the port Administration obliging them to leave the port, and going spend the night at hotels at their expenses.
The Administration of the company of sea transport, ENTMV, has ordered the passengers to evacuate the boat, after that the scheduled trip had been postponed for fear of potential breakdowns in the engine, noting that the trip had been scheduled on Thursday.
Such a procedure has provoked the anger of the passengers, as the majority of them could not afford the hotel charges.
According to a well-informed source, the passengers have decided not to leave the ship board. meanwhile caretakers have closed all rooms for not being used. However the trip is expected to be rescheduled sooner.
