Which come under the framework of the modernization of transport, according to the Regional manager of basic structures of the National Company of Rail-bound Transport, Mr. Ali Lâalmi. At the time of an international meeting organized with the hotel El Aurassi by the SNTF around the topic “the safety of the railroads”, the Central Director has indicated that there are two groups of lines, the first reaches the 750 kilometres and the second connects Touggourt and Hassi Messaoud. Concerning these groups and whose invitations to tender were announced in July of last year, the technical envelopes were opened last January, the same responsible has indicated that the company was studying the technical bids which were chosen of the six selected initially. It is about the Italian complex Franco “Astaldi”, who is interested by the line connecting Bordj Bouarrierdj to Khemis Meliana, and as regards the line connecting Boumedfâa to Djelfa, it received three bids of the complex “Astaldi”, Italian complex “Roty Pizza pie” and the Spaniard “O H L”, the fifth bid is that of the British company “Paktel” which was interested in the line between Touggourt and Hassi Messaoud. As regards the same projects, Mr. Lâalmi has announced that the opening of the envelopes relating to the commercial bids will be done in July, thus work will begin at the beginning of 2007. With regard to the second group, it differs from the first projects because one will not have recourse to foreign companies except at the time of the achievement without preparing the studies with regard to them, that the company will complete next September, the invitations to tender concerning them will be announced later.
