These Algerian are considered by the British authorities as a threat to its security. Via phone call, the father of one of the two extradited, Sellali, told El Khabar that his son was extradited on 17 June, and has been released late Thursday. The released then went to his town Barika, wilaya of Batna. The two concerned, B. Farid and S. Khaled, are the first extradited from Britain, out of 16 prisoners, who refused to lodge appeal against the decisions about their extradition issued by British justice. Khaled Sellali’s father told El Khabar he did not know wether his son would be submitted to restrictions as to his movements preventing him to leave the national territory. Yet, well-informed sources said the concerned are free to move as they like since they are “subjected to no prosecution”. On other hand, the extradition of the two Algerians did not occurred as part of the security and juridical agreements concluded between Britain and Algeria, the ambassador of Algeria to London, Mohamed Salah Dembri said.
