ENI and British Petroleum interested in API ENI and British Petroleum interested in API

The Italians and the British want to be partners

Well informed sources of the Energy and Mines sector have revealed in a declaration to “El Khabar” that the Italian company “Eni” and the British one “British Petroleum”,




In addition to other international groups have presented bids to enter in the capital of the Algerian Petrol Institute (API), which remains the only institute of Algeria specialized in the training of Energy and Mines frames.

This interest of foreign companies comes after the modification of the internal rule of the institute, it has changed from Algerian institute of Petrol, created in 1965, to “the complex of the Algerian Institute of petrol-university organization”, owned at 51% by Sonatrach and 25% by Sonelgaz and the resting 24% go to equal parts to the National Company of Wells’ works, the National Company of exploitation, Naftal, Naftech, the National Company of wells’ services and the National Company of Geology.

This change of the internal rule comes to accompany the development and the new technologies in addition to scientific changes occurring in the Energy and Mines sector in the world considering that Algeria is one of the important producers of petrol and gas.

In the frame of this new complex, the institute is now dealing with international universities and institutes for training especially that French Institute of petrol which ensures currently all training programmes relating to insurance of industrial structures and the Scottish Institute “Robert Garden”.

It also deals with the French National Center of Research and the Architectural School “Louis Pasteur” of the University of Strasbourg, the laboratory of the university of Nancy in France, the university of Laval in Canada, the university “Kalsro” of Germany and the university Stevens of the United States of America.
