In a meeting with Algerian press in London, Dembri explained that Bouteflika visit, the first of its kind for an Algerian president since Algeria’s independence, will start by a meeting with The Queen Elizabeth II, in Buckingham Palace, followed by official talks with the Prime Minister Tony Blair, to be then extended the members of the two delegations before the president held a news conference. According to the same source, President Bouteflika will meet the Chief of the British Council, the body in charge of improving Britain’s image abroad, before meeting major British economic operators to deal with Algeria, as well as the major businessmen, this for the visit’s first day. The president of the Republic will meet, on the second day, African and Arab ambassadors in the United Kingdom. The Chief of State will move afterwards to the office of the City Mayor (London financial centre). A move showing the Algerian need for cooperation in order to activate the Algeriann financial system and to develop it to be up to the big transformations Algeria has experienced.
