“Tourism” group starts building 4 luxury hotels

Mr. Djilali Mehri has indicated yesterday in a press conference held in Oran that the tourist group which he presided over was going to undertake soon the construction of four luxurious hotels




In the capital, Constantine, Tlemcen and Oran. This investment is of a joint tourist group between “Accor” and Mehri, of a cost of about 250 million of euros. Mehri has added that the Royal hotel which is situated in the middle of the city of Oran will be inaugurated after the holy month of Ramadan.

“I insist on this hotel because it is the most beautiful hotel in Algeria, I want to make of it one of the references of beauties which comes to be added to the town of Oran”, according to him.

Mehri has added “we have finished measures of purchase of the grounds in the capital, Oran, Constantine and Tlemcen to build the four hotels within the framework of the joint company created with the international group “Accor”, specialized in the hotel management and services and which manages 8 thousand hotels on the world, we could convince it to invest with us in these projects in our country, which aims at carrying out a group of hotels of a capacity of 3600 rooms and which generates 5800 direct employment and which is poor in indirect employment”. He has regretted the inexistence of motivations in our country contrary to what is done in the rest of the countries of the world in the field of hotel trade and tourism.

Mr. Nourrédine Khellaf, Director of the tourist group has indicated that “the initial work of the four hotels scheduled by the group has started in Constantine and the capital while waiting for the end of measures relating to the two projects of Oran and Tlemcen. These achievements should be delivered two years after the beginning of work. He has added that concerning the project of the hotel of Algiers, the Turkish company “Kay” has obtained the invitation to tender relating to the realization of great works, when the French company “Conan” specialized in the equipment and the hotel techniques has obtained the invitation to tender for the equipment.
