Mr. Snoussi Mohamed has revealed to El Khabar that “a tender on the privatization of four branches of the Algerian National Navigation Company (CNAN) after the failure of these branches to attract foreign partners during the announcement of the tender for the first time”. Mr. Snoussi has indicated that it concerns the National Company of repair of boats “Jima” and “Nachco” in addition to the branch “Nazak” which was not able to attract foreign investors in consequence of many reasons as its current financial situation. According to the President of the board of Directors of the Company of Management of the Participations of the sea transport, this time they will have recourse to foreign engineering and design department which will be selected among those which have expressed until now their interest concerning this case, it will be selected on the level of the ministry for the participations and the Promotion of the Investments for the other branches. The same responsible has affirmed that two files of the branch “Cnan Mediterranean” taken down by the Italian “Dario Pirelio”, and that relating to the operation of partnership between the Saudi company “Pharaoh” and the CNAN in order to create a joint company which will exploit and manage eight boats of the remaining fleet of the Cnan, which will be submitted to the next meeting of the Council of the Participations of the State, where it will be ruled on these files.
