Algéria : 41 offers for the privatization of 14 hotels of the center and east

Poor participation of foreign companies and workers’ companies

The number of participants in the national and international tender for the privatization of 14 hotels relevant to the two companies of touristic management of the center and East has reached 41 operators.

Among them four foreign companies; the absence of important international groups should also be noted in spite of the fact that it has touched many inshore hotels. The opening of envelops of national and international offers has been held Saturday in the Sofitel hotel at Algiers, and the foreign participation has mainly concerned touristic hotels of the company of touristic management of the center and they are hotels situated on the shore in the region of Sidi Fredj at Tipaza.

Concerning the company of touristic management of Sidi Fredj, six offers have been recorded for Erriad hotel of which four come from foreign companies which are the company Hyundai, “Siahasa” constituted of the group Mehri and the international group “Akor”, the Lebanese “Fodil for Construction” and the Tunisian company “Bel Azur Hammamet”. The Algerian company “Kraghel Kamel and Brothers” has presented an offer in addition to the contractor Amara Hamid, who has presented an offer for the hotel El Marsa of Sidi Fredj, and the real estate group Belazoug which has presented an offer for the same hotel. Five offers have been presented for the centre of water treatment of Sidi Fredj by “Club des Pins”, the company “Hyndai”, the company “Bio Pharma”, Adil Hotels and Mr. Hamila Hamid.

Concerning the company of touristic management of Tipaza, six offers have been presented by the company Hyndai, Mr. Hamila Hamid, Mr. Habchi Koreichi, Mr. Boukhbet Djallal and the company “Jimo Middle East Algiers”, in addition to a group of people for the project of the station of Corne d’Or. The offers have been presented for the inshore region of “Set” in Tipaza. Another foreign offer has been presented for the privatization of hotels by a group from Arab Emirates and it concerns the hotel “Albert Premier” situated in the middle of the capital which has only received two offers.
