In order to develop the Sahara areas in Algeria, through a party to be held in the head office at Algiers, in the presence of General Manager of the company Mr. François Gautier, and representative UNDP in Algeria Mr Marc De Prince. Many officials from different national organisms are expected to attend this party. According to the statement of the United Nations Development Programme yesterday, the contract will be ratified next Sunday in the capital. Anadarco has allocated a financial envelop of $80 thousand. The same statement indicated that the programme which has been exposed by the UNDP, adopted by Anadarco, will enable boosting the development in southern wilayas as Adrar, Ouargla, Bechar and Ghardaia in general and rehabilitating the castle of Timasine in particular. It should be noted that the agreement, which is expected to be ratified at the beginning of next week, has been preceded by a partnership agreement between the same office and the Norwegian company “Staterol” for the supplying of a programme for the wilaya of Adrar. The same statement indicated that the UNDP answers the call of the Secretary General, Kofi Annan, to achieve the millennium development goals. | ||||||||||||||||||
