He called for a national unity conference for sovereignty and legitimacy. But head of Society Movement for Peace (MSP) Abudjerra Soltani deems that such revision is not necessary as the existing constitution is excellent. During a programme of a satellite Channel Elhiwar, Abassi Madani said “he appreciated the work of the president of the Republic, particularly the one about the constitution’s revision”. He also dubbed the project of “big initiative” “as it establishes the foundations of a sovereign and independent State as well as a State of justice, which combats injustice”. He criticized the fact that the “country is still in state of emergency and considered that as a law of shame and strength”. He added that the “dictatorship era is finished, the regime must come back to justice and past errors must be remedied. Because the problem was political the solution must be of the same nature and be found in an amicable way”. The leader of the MSP preferred not to talk about the return of the disbanded party (FIS) to the political work for the time being in order to more time to the convalescence period to calm down the spirits. He stated that “work and security are priorities and a day for political right will certainly come.” In the same context, he said frankness put before reconciliation would be useless. Putting the fire would be more urgent than finding out its causes. In response to a question about the importance of the constitution revision, Abudjerra indicated that the revision is not among the priorities and justified his stand by the fact that the current constitution is excellent and Algerian citizens needed to be taken in charge as regards their problems. He added that the reconciliation process would enable finding the role of Algeria on the national and international scene by giving a priority to the culture of peace and Islamic values. | ||||||||||||||||||
