A governmental source said that the Venezuelan president The presidents Chavez and Bouteflika will discuss other dossiers, amongst them the growing pressures that are being experienced by certain countries from Latin America because of the oil nationalisation tide that is being witnessed in this part of the world. And according to the context that the visit is taking place in, it is obvious that the Venezuelan president is looking for the backing up of Algeria in the face of pressures put by the multinational companies’ original countries, the companies that will be the first looser of the nationalisation processes. Algeria has already helped Chavez who was in 2003, in the middle of a total strike that paralysed all economic sectors and this by sending Sonatrach experts to make Venezuela oil station back into production, the thing that angered the United States that was backing the strike. The visit comes in parallel with preparations to hold the meeting of the countries exporters of oil in Caracas next month, and comes in a context of visits which were started on 11 May which included Austria, Great Briton and Italy.
