A Canadian delegation in Algeria to discuss terrorism fight

As part of bilateral cooperation on the fight against terrorism, a Canadian ministerial delegation is in Algeria for a work visit to last from 23 to 25 September, the Canadian Embassy announced yesterday.

The Canadian delegation is composed of experts in the field of prevention and fight against terrorism. The visit is considered to be the first of its kind after the new programme of supporting such fight was put into force in 2005. The programme is being supervised by the Canadian Foreign affairs and International Trade Minister.

The operation is to support bilateral relations between Algeria and Canada and give them a new dynamism. It is also a part of implementing the 1373 resolution and ratified by both countries in 2001. The delegation will be received by President Bouteflika advisor Mohamed Kamel Rezak Bara.

Algerian experts will discuss with the delegation about the fight against terrorism with the view of exchanging experiences.
