Monday May 15 2006.

Two British soldiers and 49 Iraqi have been killed in a chain of explosions targeted 6 Shiite shrines

meanwhile it is growing more probable that Nouri Malki would declare a government without Interior and Defence ministers, whereas the leader of Alfadila Party is still insisting on his refusal to participate in the formation of the government, saying that the decision of the withdrawal from the negotiation to form a government is a final decision, even in case he was given the Oil ministry.

A spokeswoman from the British ministry of defence said, yesterday, that two British have been killed and three other have been injured in a roadside bomb in Iraq. Also, the Iraqi police declared that three of the foreign minister’s bodyguards were killed in an ambush, in the town of al Azim, 80 km north of Baghdad.

In the Falluja, 50 KM west of Baghdad, police sources declared that 4 corpses, with bullets marks and traces of torture, were found in the south the town. The police, too, declared that two civilians were killed and 7 others wounded in car bomb explosion near an American force point in Mawsil 390kM north of Baghdad. The American army said, yesterday, that they killed 3 insurgents and imprisoned 4 in a raid that took place in Ramadi.

Politically speaking, sources close to the on going government related negotiations said that the chances are that the president of the government will announce his government with the ministries of interior and defence still vacant.
