The French sales decreased by 20% in comparison to last year’s same period. Cars import was the most harmed sector as it was estimated to 8.32%. During the first months of this year, the French sales towards Algeria were estimated at 2 million Euros as an equivalent of 22% of the Algerian external market, according to the last report of the French Economic mission to Algeria. France is still considered the first supplier for Algeria despite the fact that such exchanges have shown a fall of 20% as compared to the same period in 2005. The sector of persons and goods transportation vehicles has recorded a considerable drop as it reached 32.8% estimated at 318 million Euros. The Asian competition and cars which invaded the Algerian market besides the law issued last preventing the import of less than three-year-old cars are the main causes of the decline. Despite the significant drop of exchanges, many sectors are still doing well. | ||||||||||||||||||
