The victims were at their work places when ambushed by terrorists, who got hold of their arms and fled towards the dense forest of the area, according to reliable sources. Moreover, in the combing operation, carried out by national army forces units in the forests of Beni Kessila in the Wilaya of Bejaia, a soldier was killed and two others were injured after the explosion of a series of bombs Sunday evening. Another soldier died and 15 others were injured in the same region last Saturday. Some of them were taken to Tizi Ouzou Hospital. The high toll of the combing can be explained by the army’s strong commitment to cleansing the area from terrorists who planted hundred of bombs and mines in the forests between Beni Kessila and Akfadou.
