The policy is based on dialogue and opened doors to operators to find solutions without resorting to the regulation power. In a statement to El Khabar, Mr. Kheireddine highlighted that the historical operator (Algerie Telecom) opened its doors to operators through periodical meetings “fortnightly” to raise problems and find solutions. The problem raised previously between Algerie Telecom and Orascom Telecom “Djezzy” on every company’s dues was definitely solved and an agreement was reached with Djezzy Managing Director Hassan Kebbani. The dues problem was the subject of every meeting and each company pays its dues to the other side without resorting to the regulation power but “there will be no other notifications to the regulation power henceforth.” Mr. Kheireddine underscored. Some 40 operators have already showed their interest in opening Algeria’s capital. Most of them are Arabs, according to Mr. Kheireddine, who added in the same breath that when starting the operation there will be only 5 or 6 Arab operators competing for the National Company’s capital, expected to reach 140 billion dinars. | ||||||||||||||||||
