Statistics of the National Statistics and Information Centre of the Customs Services showed a high rise in oil exports which represent 98.03% for 1.62% of exports out of hydrocarbons. This proves that exports decreased and lessened. In the same context, Algerian imports during 8 months stand for $13.88 billion and Algeria exported $34.54 billion with a 17.44% rise, recording a surplus of $20.66 billion. The USA is therefore the first trade partner of Algeria with $8.56 billion during 8 months in 2006 and nearly $10 billion during 9 months. Italy surpasses France during 8 months in 2006. France’s exchange volume was estimated at $5.59 billion and Italy’s at $6.09 billion.
