The thing that the minister of high education Rachid Hrowbia refused to admit when he declared that the strike didn’t see a wide response” and “who wants to verify this, he needs nothing but to visit universities”, the minister said. The unlimited strike that has been started by teachers from centre, east and west co-ordinations has prevented exams to be done yesterday in Boumerdes, Bejaia, Constantine, Blida and Oran. General assemblies that were held in these paralysed universities have decided the continuation of the unlimited strike. On his side, the minister of the high education denied that lecturers have succeeded in paralysing institutes, and said in this context that “the strike organised by centre and west coordinators didn’t see a wide participation”. In a continued context, the first responsible of the sector, pressed that representatives of the high education’ teachers council are called to respect the rules pointing out to threats made by the CNES (Higher education’ teachers council) of not sitting to the dialogue table unless the ministry responds to all advanced demands especially wages and the lecturers status, the thing that made him questioning the role of dialogue and negotiations with this principle being held. In this context, Mr Rachid Hrawbia reminded of the declarations made by the president Bouteflika concerning wages, so he said “the matter is classified after it has been put between the hands of the tripartite“, but confirming the status of the lecturer is under preparation.
