18 big projects were declared in the agency and which worth 6,5 billions dollars as direct foreign investments, while actual projects that were accomplished last year was estimated at 1,5 billion dollars. During the Round Table that was organised by El Moudjahid newspaper about the national and foreign investments, the same executive puts this improvement of direct foreign investments down to the improvement of economic indexes of the global economy and the new investment law that, more or less, improved the general atmosphere of investments. In the same context, whole national and foreign investments, according to Baghdadi, were estimated at 7 billions dollars. This sum represents 2255 projects that were declared, 1, 5 billion dollars of which as direct foreign investments. Direct foreign investments of 2005, according to the first executive of the agency, contributed in 84 projects. On the other hand, Mr Baghdadi mentioned that the national council for investments held, during the last year, 7 sessions in which has studied 37 projects that worth 351 billion DA or the value of 5 billions dollars. Concerning the benefited sectors, the general director said they are services sector which had 40% of the whole investments, while 35% went to investment projects with spreading nature. S.
