He stated that consular services will ease to Algerian businessmen the access to different international fairs taking place in the USA. During a press conference held yesterday at the US embassy in Algiers, Mr. Rick Ortis made clear that the US Commerce Department of State draws a great attention to investments in Algeria given it is the US second major operator in the Arab World. The appropriate security conditions are also available for such trade exchanges after they have been restricted for too long in oil sector. Mr. Ortis pointed out that his office endeavours to be a link between Algerian businessmen and their US counterparts. It aims at encouraging the US parties to invest in Algeria in many fields and make it easier for Algerian businessmen to get acquainted with the US market. He further mentioned that the division strives also to shrink deficit in Algeria balance of trade. In this very context, Mr. Ortis pointed out: “Algerians have a good knowledge when it comes to commercial transactions, we can assist them to take cognizance of the way Americans deal”, he further noted that his services have a network covering all the American territory which is striving to make known the Algerian market capabilities as well as privatisation programmes. | ||||||||||||||||||
