This last has being opened by Government to foreign capital within privatization program frame. According to Kuwaiti sources MTC is studying to buy a share in Algerian Telecommunications Company (Algerie Telecom), the official operator to both fixed and mobile telephone nets beside the internet service in Algeria. In addition to the national Kuwaiti for communications and The Egyptian Orascom telecom, MTC is going to enlarge its nets all over North African markets through its international company Celtel relying on Algerian market growing opportunities comparing with ages average low level, which is between (18 to20) Beside the increase of income average, professional and educational level rising; all these are seductive criteria to such mobile phone market. MTC is the third company to declare its serious intention to enter competition on Algerian telecommunications after Emirate Telecommunications Company and France Telecom. The privatization of the company has witnessed numerous postponements without knowing any causes from public powers whereas, technology information, telecommunication and Post Minister has stated the file is at head of government office to be discussed in government council meeting. | ||||||||||||||||||
