Interests’ groups behind the attempts to harm Brown & Root Condor

El-Khabar’s guest of Fatour Essabah, Mr Khalil Chakib, said “we have to think thoroughly when a company as Brown and Root Condor is concerned for there are some matters

that may be destroyed namely when some information circulate, adding that “the rumour had a bad impact on Brown and Root Condor”.

Energy Minister said that “Brown and Root Condor “has got partners and if there is any decision we are to negotiate with the foreign partner and then to buy its share so that Sonatrach will have 100% ‘s share. Moreover, the Algerian side is about to undertake negotiations with the foreign partner though the company isn’t to be disbanded.

As concern the company’s special report “we haven’t seen this report so far and some people from the company have been heard without knowing the reason and on which base”.

Energy Ministry stressed recalling that he hasn’t heard it at all. Regarding the billing, Energy Minister has focused again” we have developed a special policy that is giving additional 15% for our subsidiaries’ profit; so when Brown and Root for instance, present an offer we grant her an additional average of 15% knowing that when any foreign company comes to Algeria this company is supported by its country so we are to support our own subsidiaries”.
