Two million dollars of trade exchange between Algeria and Mexico is a weak value

Mexican ambassador (in Algeria) Mr. Eduardo Roldan who finished his 2-days visit to the Wilaya of Mascara (West of Algiers) has considered the value of trade exchange dealt between Algeria and Mexico very weak claiming businessmen and economical operators

Whom he met at culture house of Mascara, to take advantage of capacities provided by the Mexican market in addition to Mexican inhabitants numbering 106 million populations.

The value of trade exchange between the two countries reached 200 million dollars last year, and this is a little value that could be easily raised if communications between Algerians and Mexicans were direct without the interfere of the French, the Spanish and the Americans who work as middlemen, explained the Mexican ambassador.

Same Mexican representative has invited the Algerian operators to take advantage from the agreement “NAFTA” signed by Mexico, the USA and Canada concerning free trade through exportation of various products to Mexico and then re-exporting them towards these two huge markets; in addition to enlarging the fields of trade exchange which is currently in favour of Algeria through the importation of corn, sugar, soft and hard wheat and chickpeas against exporting chemical, mechanical and industrial products and even food industries to Mexico.

The Mexican ambassador had concluded his visit, that was organised by a special enterprise specialized in foodstuffs and agricultural industries, to Wilaya of Mascara after two days through which he visited a number of agricultural areas special for grapevine (vineyards) in order to sign a treaty of cooperation between an Algerian operator living at Sidi Qada in Mascara and Mexican companies, he has also visited historical buildings of El-Amir Abdelkader (revolution hero native of Mascara).
