Sunday Mar 25 2007.
According to El Khabar official sources, the court of Oran (West of Algiers) will consider the lawsuit lodged by the Exterior Bank of Algeria
BEA, against Algeria Industrial and Commercial Bank BCIA, accused of “money smuggling” accusation. After more than three years of the suit lodged against the BCIA, the case has been finally scheduled for next April 19th, as the criminal division of Oran court has accused of “money smuggling” in stead of “money bleaching” six members of Kherroubi family who are Ahmed the father, his son Mohamed Ali (who are on the run), the two other sons Chakib and Badreddine already hold prisoners, besides the bank founder‘s two daughters, all of them partners in the BCIA.
The new fact in the case is that Algeria bank will stand as a civil part, what it hadn’t previously done within the first suit treated by Oran criminal court last month, while criminal division of the same court has refused the Algerian Exterior Bank BEA ‘s request to set as a civil part for this case.
