He noted that this difference is to be caught up thanks to tax on foreign company in Algeria benefits’ receipts. El Moudjahid Forum guest denied information on two Spanish companies Repsol and “Gaz Naturel” withdrawal from Gasi Touil gas project. He made clear that the two companies have not addressed any official request on this matter. In the same respect, Khelil stated that Algeria embarked on negotiations for two years in order to come up with an agreement with Spanish authorities so as to amend and put in review current gas prices. Mr. Khelil mentioned that Algeria has accepted Gaz Naturel Company to take part in the Medgaz project holding 10% share awaiting the other partner acceptance. On Medgaz project, energy and mines minister expressed Algeria dissatisfaction after Spanish authorities’ decision on gas share to be explored by Sonatrach fixed at on billion cubic metres instead of initially agreed upon three billion cubic metres. Besides, Chakib Khelil stressed that the creation of OPEC gas will not be discussed in Doha gas forum, he noted that its materialization can be done at long term when gas market will have the same characteristics of oil one. | ||||||||||||||||||
