On the fringes of President Bouteflika yesterday’s visit to Algiers, Mr. Zerhouni stated: “Americans think we are wild goose”. While a source mentioned that the US Embassy’s in Algiers chargé d’Affaires has been called by Foreign Affairs Ministry which expressed its resentment on what it considered as “offence to diplomatic decency”. Zerhouni also made clear: “the US Embassy information sow panic among citizens, but who the beneficiary is?” he called the press in this respect to denounce such act. He further added, “It lies behind a plot, there’s no need for authorities to stress it”, noting that the US Embassy’s warnings raise many questions. In the same connection, home affairs minister announced that security services identified the suicide bombers “Abu Sadjada” and “Abu Dajana” who attacked Bab Ezzouar police station. However, President Bouteflika appeared for the first time after the kamikaze bombings, as he inaugurated Pasteur Institute labs, national centre for electricity system management, and the new Algiers court headquarters. He also went, at the end of his field visit, to some surgery departments in Mustafa Bacha hospital to see April 11 wounded victims. | ||||||||||||||||||
