The lawyer of the prisoners, Mr Borghal Khaled, made it clear in a statement issued yesterday that “the managers of El Khalifa bank, who are imprisoned for more than 15 months are still on hunger strike for the ninth day without the least respond from the concerned authorities”, and that their state of health is in deterioration that is causing concerns. The statement of the defence added “it is not conceivable that the defendant who are supposed to be considered innocent will be left to die and who are trying to make their voice heard by the juridical authorities through their last option”, making it clear that “there is no need to remind the case of El Khalifa saw the death of a person in the prison”.
