A European survey led by investment observatory on 2006 capital flows in the Arab region revealed that the investment has been done through stock exchange shares or deals through sharing company capitals or investing in job funds. The survey reveals that the main beneficiary countries are Egypt with 5.3 billion dollars, Algeria with 3 billion dollars and Morocco 2.3 billion dollars, Syria 2billion dollars then Tunisia logged far behind with Lebanon. Arabs have become the main investors in the Maghreb who established association agreements with the European party. Arab investors have the precedence over their European and US counterparts. On another side, the survey mentions poor investments in terms of reproductive capital especially industry with just 31% of the overall investment amounts. | ||||||||||||||||||
