The agreement is to provide for expert visits and modernisation of Draria and Ain Oussara reactors. Mr. Khelil, who is in a visit to the USA as of Tuesday, revealed the frontlines of an agreement on a US help to develop Algeria civil nuclear. According to the minister Algeria will host the conclusion ceremony next June. Chakib Khelil statements intervene after he met the US Secretary of Energy Mr. Samuel W. Bodman. Algeria Press Service reported that Khelil said “Algeria and the USA will seal a bilateral cooperation on multifaceted cooperation and exchange mechanisms”. On measures to be taken on the field by virtue of the expected nuclear agreement Mr. Khelil pointed out that “it is to allow Algerian nuclear energy institutions and research centres to have the accurate results and take advantage from expertise and technology advance in the USA”. On the African scale, Algeria is working on coordinating efforts with Atomic Energy International Agency to build its capacities in order to develop its nuclear facilities destined to pacific use. | ||||||||||||||||||
