France started expelling Algerians France started expelling Algerians

For alleged terrorism related charges
Friday May 11 2007.

French authorities started expelling 7 Algerians towards their native country, after being deprived from the citizenship, on the decision of justice based on information services reports for alleged charges related to “contributing to form a criminal group in order to undertake terrorist acts and official documents fraud”.

Well informed sources reported that the French justice has deprived seven Algerians from the French nationality, on the basis of information services reports alleging their belonging to a group preparing to undertake terrorist acts in France and other European countries. The same sources unveled that two among them have been expelled last month.

Some sentences provide for depriving the accused from entry to the French territory at all as well as stripping them from their civil rights together with their families for periods that vary from 6 to ten years. Moreover, the 130-page French security report mentions that all the group members “have been arrested a few days after 9/11 attacks”, after a suspect activity has been noticed in mosques and some suburbs hosting the Arab community. The striking is that French born and bread people who embraced Islam have been mentioned in the report.

On another side, El Khabar has been given a copy of a letter addressed by one of the “expelled” to president Bouteflika before being expelled last month who wrote “I am addressing you on the behalf of all Algerians in France as terrorism is being the first pretext France use to expel Algerians”, noting “I’m not the only one, there are so many arrested for the same charges”.
